Oh yoooo hooooo…it’s that time again!
My five-week E-Course is about to commence once again on January 26th and while it’s always a popular affair, I want to be able to share the experience with as many of you as possible!
To spread the Bloom True love just a little bit more, I’m offering three different giveaways leading up to the course.
All in all, we’ll be gifting 20 spots to 20 lucky winners (thus the palooza ;)) Read on for more details…
GIVEAWAY #1: Instagram Giveaway!
If you’re not already on Instagram and you use a “smart phone,” you may want to join in the fun. Instagram is where I share the most pics of my art and life, and the community of artists there is super fab. Come for the contest, stay for the community! Join Bloomers from all over the globe who are sharing their #bloomtrue journey, make new friends, and connect with your new tribe.
HOW TO ENTER: Head on over to my Instagram for the details, and look for the giveaway photo:

Five winners will be drawn and announced on Instagram on January 11th!
GIVEAWAY #2: Nominate a Friend!
This particular Giveaway has become a Bloom True tradition, and we absolutely LOVE it because we get to hear you gush about your favorite people and why they deserve a spot in the course. We think this is a pretty great way to share your gratitude…AND offer something awesome to your loved ones.
HOW TO ENTER:
Leave a comment RIGHT HERE in the comment section of this post, and nominate a friend for a spot in the January E-Course. Let us know why they would be a perfect candidate for the course and why you love them so much! We will announce the ten winners on January 18th, so stay tuned for that.
GIVEAWAY #3: Scholarship + Love Bomb Video Challenge!
OK, this is something new we’ve cooked up and we’re super excited about it! We want to see your shining faces and hear directly from YOU why the Bloom True E-Course would make a difference in your life. We’re giving away five scholarship spots, PLUS these winners will receive awesome love bomb goody bags of Flora merchandise and art supplies to start the creative journey! We’ll announce the winners on Facebook on January 21st.
HOW TO ENTER:
1. Create a 90 seconds or less video and answer this question:
How will Bloom True support you as a person, and how will you use your experience to be of service in the world?
Extra points for creativity + humor! Trust me, I know how hard it is to be vulnerable on screen. I’ve been there, but here’s a great opportunity to be brave!
2. Upload your video to your Facebook page and share its URL it over on Flora Bowley Paintings so we can make sure to see it! To do that, you’ll have to click on the video after it’s uploaded, and then click OPTIONS > GET LINK. Copy that link over to the Facebook page so we can see your entry (see pic below).
Please share this post with your friends so we can bring Bloom True to folks who otherwise may not get an opportunity to participate in what so many of you have called a “life-changing” E-Course. Best of luck to all who enter!
For any questions about the giveaways or the E-Course, feel free to send an email to assistance@florabowley.com.
I nominate my dear friend Brigitte Lang because she is the most naturally talented artist I know, but she is also the MOST humble, modest, kind, gentle, sweet person. She is working different jobs to pay the bills but I would love to see her making a living out of her artwork…. she is curious and asked a lot of questions about the paintings I did whilst doing your course Flora. She’d love to do it but would not prioritise it for herself….

I’d like to nominate my friend and random adventure life partner Matthew Lin for gift #2. He is an amazing self taught Manga artist who supports, supports and supports me in all my creative pursuits and through my arty fears. I’ve never met a man so supportive before… he is a beautiful Soul!! He had a heart op last year and was a total inspiration in how he moved through it and into this year. He teaches young quirky kids manga art and has decided to write his own kids book and illustrate it. He is ready to take a flying leap into life again this year. So I would love for one of his leaps to be into blooming true which I think would open his creativity up even more. I would love to see his beautiful face as he received the gift and see his amazing heart open even more. With love and gratitude for your offering. Sarah ox

I would love to nominate my mom 🙂 Why do I love this woman? Well, she’s my mom, and she’s been awesome for my entire life. I owe everything to her! She’s now retired and is passionate about reconnecting with creativity that was always there but that she didn’t always have time to pursue (I was probably pretty demanding! lol). She has so much talent and I know she would benefit from this course. I’ve passed along your newsletters to her before, Flora, and she loves both your art and your teachings on creativity, so I know Bloomtrue would be the perfect fit for her. Please please please! Fingers crossed that mom – Jill Stokes – gets a spot in this class!

I would like to nominate my best friend Sonya. (or Sonny as I call her, and she calls me Shmargs) We bonded over a love of art 17 years ago, and we have been BFF’s ever since, even tho we now live at opposite ends of the country. I am always inspired by her and how much she gracefully carries on her plate. She is a mother of 5, her youngest being special needs, so she’s running on fumes the majority of the time. But when she takes time to do art, she sounds so happy and at peace. Recently we had an experience where we both said: “I can’t wait to tell you about this great art book I am reading!” And it was YOUR BOOK!;) I know that a space in your class would mean the world to her.

My friend, Jackie, I would nominate in a hot minute. She has come back to art in a BIG way and is on a mission to find her voice. To that end she’s dedicated the next year to immerse herself in rediscovering her voice and claiming her style. Your course would be the BEST starting point for her and a way cool gift for my friend and chosen sister.

I’d like to nominate my good friend Selena Jacobson who works as a psychotherapist helping everyone and has little time to do good things for herself. She’s incredibly unselfish and has a big heart! I’d love for her to win a spot so that she can finally do something fun! ❤️

I would like to nominate my friend Leslie Glen for this giveaway. She is a great friend and highschool art teacher that has pour into my kids so much love and artsyness. She rarely has time for herself to do her own art and this would be so fun for her to experience!

I nominate my friend Mindy Greenside. We have been friends for a long time as well as colleagues taking care of women in need. I know Mindy would revel in the e-course. She is a lover of nature, color and beauty. She is a budding artist waiting to bloom! I don’t know if she would give herself the e-course, so if it was handed to her, she would burst with gratitude. It is just what she needs!

I nominate my friend Grace. She is an amazing inspiration to those around her and a blessing in my life. She is a girl in love with color and brings so much light and joy into the world through her art and words. This course would be a wonderful playground for her spirit and I would be thrilled for her to get the chance to play here.

I nominate my beautiful younger sister Lori Nuest. I have witnessed first hand her courage and spirit and she and I have used our own brand of creative therapy as a healing tool for cancer treatment, surgeries and stressful family gatherings. One example: A year ago I packed a suitcase full of paints and supplies and stayed with her while she healed from a double mastectomy. In that week we painted all day long, made about 40 art journals and experimented with watercolors, pastels, oil sticks and other mixed media. It was so transformative for her. Since then, she’s been collecting art supplies and making some art, but a class like yours would help her to trust her intuition more fully and find her own voice rather than duplicate the work of others. And, best of all, we could do the class together — which would be amazing since we live 2000 miles apart. <3 her!

I nominate my dear friend JB Ralbovsky who lives in Michigan. We have been friends for years. He is an incredible energy healer, and a sound specialist. During one of our telephone conversations, he was telling me that he loved an artist that he wanted to take her class in Portland. Our conversation led me to ask, “Are you talking about Flora Bowley?” He said, “Yes!” Not too long before this conversation, I had bought your book, so we thought how interesting that we were both looking at applying to take your class at the same time. Anyway, he is one of the most authentic human beings that I know. Beautiful spirit!

I would like to nominate my beautiful and talented girlfriend Jessica Bailey. She is one of the most giving and open people i’ve ever met. She just finished her first year as a painting student and has been without painting for the last month and is bursting at the seams to get started again. She hasn’t worked out what her style is yet as a painter and is still trying many things and this course will be perfect for helping her explore and try new techniques and styles. She’s brand new and excited about painting and can’t wait to spend many years as an artist, everything she can have access to will help her create the artist she will become.

I nominate Jessica Bailey. She is such an amazing person, she is always radiating happiness and love wherever she goes. This also shows in her artwork. She always tries her absolute best to get the best result out of her artwork and she always has fun with it! She truly deserves to go on this e-course, one, because she loves Flora Bowley and two, because her personality will benefit this course and the people around her. This course will also help improve her uni work.

Nancy Connelly ~ Here is a woman who deserves to honor her creative self, to have the time and the resources to nurture her muse. Her husband, a wonderful artist, passed suddenly a few years ago, just as Nancy was beginning to explore her own creative self. She began doing small pastels and then carving birds from wood. She works long hours now and has little time for her wonderful gifts to bloom. She would be moved to tears and beyond, to receive such a gift. I hope she is a winner. She surely is one in the lives of all whom she touches. Thank you, Flora for this opportunity.

I nominate Patti Euler. She has owned the unique store and studio named The Queen’s Ink in Savage, MD for many, many years. She has dedicated endless hours of work building her business while continuously encouraging the arts to so many people that have creative desires. Her store has incredible displays and products not found in a chain store. To see her place is heart warming and inspiring. Many famous and not so famous local artisans of all genres have taught one to two day workshops at her incredible location. These artists always comment on the excellent attendance, kindness and great karma of the participants and her beautiful studio. They leave asking to return soon to teach again. Patti’s endless support and selfless dedication has touched so many hearts and uncapped talent that most did not exist. She is a heART angel and certainly deserves a day submerging and freeing herself into a fun and inspirational Flora Bowley “Bloom” workshop.

I would like to nominate my wonderful sister, Julie Burger. This past year Julie took care of our Mom after our Mom’s stroke and diagnosis with dementia. Julie’s caring and love provided comfort and nurturing for our Mom during the long months of her illness and in the moment of our Mom’s death. Julie did this for love of our Mom, never complaining.
Julie has always used art as a healing tool and now is a time when she truly needs to heal her grieving heart after this tremendous loss and I would love for her to have this wonderful “life changing e-course”. Thank you for this opportunity.

i am nominating my good friend Christine Rogers. Christine has helped me grow and heal through Shamanic and Reiki healing. We both enjoy using art to express ourselves. I think she would enjoy this intuitive painting class as another tool to tap into the messages that Spirit has to share with us. <3

I nominate my dearest friend, Rachel Fontenot. She is an incredibly talented artist who unfortunately has been in a number of art classes where the instructor and fellow students have been incredibly critical (not always in a constructive way). So she has become very hesitant about sharing her art, even though it’s BEAUTIFUL and needs to be shared with the world! I know the Bloom True course would be an encouraging community and would help her to flourish!

i nominate one of best friends, Jenna Hernandez. We’ve known each other for more than 20 years and have been soul sisters ever since. We share a love of art, music and travel. We can tell each other anything without judgment. She recently quit her corporate job to focus on her art and replenish her creative soul. She has so many ideas, she doesn’t know where to start. Her talent is abundant! I’ve been talking to her about your course. I’ve already signed up for the next e-course and we both talked about traveling to Portland for your four-day class later in the year. I would love to experience this class with her. We’ve supported one another’s dreams–and encouraged one another’s art for years. She’s so amazing and special. I know she’d really appreciate and blossom from experiencing your e-course. Please pick Jenna!

Hi sweet Flora + Rachael! I would like to nominate my bestie Caroline Johannes. She had something totally tragic happen in her life last Nov/Dec that totally shook her world. She is such a strong woman who stays on her path with hope and determination. She is much deserving of your beautiful offering as I am sure many are. Bloom true truly creates space to grow and blossom and to heal which I feel is exactly what my girl needs. She is also an amazing artist (who of course doesn’t consider herself one) so this would be a perfect opportunity for discovery and transformation. Thank you so much for your generous offering.

I would like to nominate my sister, Amanda Carter, for Bloom True. She lives in Germany as her husband is in the foreign service. She has missed many family events by the sacrifice to serve our country. She is a wonderful artist. This class would be a gift to her soul. She would gain a tribe. Thank you Flora for the opportunity to nominate her. I loved your class

I would like to nominate my best friend Beverly – she is an amazing person – she has faced a lot of health challenges in the past few years but still finds a way to help others and stays upbeat most of the time. She is creative and has done some watercolor in the past and I know she would now like to try her hand with acrylic painting and I think she would absolutely love this course. She is on a fixed income – and would really benefit from being one of those selected to take this course. I just love her because she is funny, upbeat and always has words of inspiration for others, she is an amazing person and as I said always trying to help others

I nominate the sweet Danni Suplicki! She’s an amazing artist and stay at home mommy to sweet little Orion. SAHM-myhood into all roses, and she handles it beautifully, but everybody needs a good outlet. This would be perfect for her.

I would like to nominate my friend Cathy, who is a talented artist. Here’s the reasons behind this because she may not seem the ‘obvious’ choice. A few years back my mom was diagnosed with dementia. I had had a circle of friends in the past but when I moved back to where I am now I didn’t feel the need to reach out particularly because my mom already was my best friend. She was a painter (how she could stop at all was a sad story, involving mental illness). But she was always enthusiastic about all my creative stuff, felting, or weaving or whatever I did. After, I felt intensely alone. I ended up with a blood clot and that led to finding yoga and meeting Cathy who was on the mat next to me. Good days and bad days we’d laugh. After years of gentle sharing we became friends and we’ve shared a few creative experiences since then. We both love The Hunger Games films. I know she doesn’t like to paint boats because they are a bit ‘obvious’ where we live, near water. Now Cath has become a grandmother and while it’s wonderful, the most significant thing that I’m frankly a little envious of, I worry that in the way of women, making art may take a back seat to other’s needs. See, we do that. I tend to feel selfish if I want to buy a photograph with my royalties. No one is doing that to me, it’s just the stupid programming of being female. So I’d love to share the Bloom True experience with her and I’d love her to be a grandmother and also vibrantly alive in her art at the same time.
I nominate my stepmom, Chris Austin, who I think really deserves a spot in this course. 🙂 She is loving, kind, artistic, and really in need of a fun and artful journey to start off the year. She has been a teacher for over 30 years, sharing her love of life and learning with her students. She was the first real life artist I remember meeting as a kid. I used to love looking through her watercolors & sketches. She let me use her “grown up” NICE watercolors and paper when I was a kid. I still remember the way the paper had a strange smell to it, the texture, the multitude of rainbow colors. She inspired me to keep reaching for those art supplies throughout my life. After years of sacrificing her free time for her family and her students, I think it’s time she got a chance to step back into the studio and spend time getting messy and creative again! 🙂

Hi Flora!! I would like to nominate my friend Darlene Bauwens. We met 27 years ago on a co tiki trip around Europe, she was such a bubbly beautiful vibrant girl. Life has dealt her some blows & I feel she would so benefit from such an uplifting course as she is anything but what she was. It would be so nice to give her the opportunity to bloom again!!!

I would love to see my friend michele Tygielski win a spot. This woman has come so far in personal growth and I’ve watched a lot of that transformation happen in her art. I love her generous nature, yes, she’s also so much more. She has come through the darkness and is ready to bask in the light now. When I took The bloom true course, I met myself coming and going and I grew from that. I want her to experience this magic opportunity to blossom. She also gives THE bEST hugs! Free!
Thank you

I would like to nominate my friend, Linda. She is always so supportive of my art creations and constantly encouraging me to follow my bliss, and it would be such a blessing to share this experience with her. She is the type of person you know is always caring and genuine and there for you. She would absolutely love this course and has recently started painting again as a tool for expression and healing.

I would like to nominate my friend Jayne Kays. I took your course with my daughter, so I understand the supportive value of having like-minded creative people coming together to share their art. Jayne is such a giving person and has spent so many years care-taking, I know she would be honored to share her Bloom experience with friends, family and community so all could receive the gift of a more expansive experience of their world. (Art does that, you know! ☺ ) She and I are in our ‘crone years’ with the luxury of a little more time in our schedules to find our creative voices. To this end, she has recently been exploring, Am I a painter? Is that why I still have these brushes around? I know your course would help her answer that question beautifully. Thank you.

I would like to nominate Brianna Bradshaw, a young friend of mine who is a single mom to a developmentally delayed beautiful little boy. She is super creative and would love this course.

Hello Flora,
What a wonderful idea and gift you are giving here. I would like to nominate my very old and good friend Rita Carlsen for your e-course gift. Rita is a beautiful artist who I have been telling for years as I watched her paint that, “I’VE GOT TO GET BACK TO MY PAINTING.” Rita would say, “YOU WILL.” Over the past year Rita has been battling a life threatening condition. Recently, she wrote me and said, “I HAVE NOT BEEN PAINTING BECAUSE OF MY ILLNESS, BUT I WOULD LOVE TO GET BACK TO IT.” I told her what she had said to me, “YOU WILL.” I suggested your course to her to help her jump back into her painting practice. Because I am an art therapist, I know the healing power of art and so Flora, I feel that Rita would have great benefits if she would have the opportunity to take our e-course.
Thank you for the opportunity for me to nominate her for your scholarship.

I nominate my beautiful (inside and out) daughter, Kana Clark. She spends a lot of time alone with her children as she is the wife of a Marine who is gone for extended periods; and when he is in country, has very long hours. She home schools her 2 wonderful children, volunteers in her community and is really a special, sweet and giving soul that deserves some time for herself. We try to Skype and paint together, (I live in FL, she in NC) but lately has to put herself after everyone else. This course would allow her (and me) to share something special as we both love to create art from our hearts. <3 & <3

Hi Flora,
I wish to nominate one of my best friends, Niki DeVries. Niki and I went to university together over 30 years ago, and then we lost touch for a while. I reconnected with her briefly in the early-1990s, and she shared that her Uncle is a well known Canadian artist, and that she had been exploring her creative side by painting. She was very encouraging to me to explore my creative side. Fast forward another 20 years, and I have been to Art school a few times… since I last saw her, Niki became a mom to 4 boys, and worked on the side, so she had no time at all to herself. Her youngest is now 16, and I have recently moved to the same city once again. Through her encouragement, more than half of her friends are currently artists, yet she has only just begun to paint again. Being from a creative family, her internal critic is very harsh and loud, and she finds it difficult to let go while painting, being afraid of wasting art supplies and creating something that is not “perfect”. Couple this with the fact that she was recently diagnosed with a rare genetic disease, and you can see that my dear friend desperately needs a creative break… she knows I am taking your course, but she doesn’t have the money to do it with me. It would be so amazing for us to do this, to Bloom True together, and for me to return the encouragement she has given myself and so many others for all of these years.

Hi Flora! I am honoring my friend, Tina by nominating her beautiful self for this course giveaway. Not only is she a talented artist but has a heart of gold. She gives so much to others and donates her time every week to Meals on Wheels. She works very hard daily as a massage therapist. She was actually the very first person who introduced me to you and your art by showing me your book. So hopefully this will be her good Karma coming back around to her because she certainly deserves it.

i am nominating my beautiful friend Bryn Meadows. She’s a passionate beautiful soul who is always putting others first. She’s wanted to do your workshop for some time and I know that given the time and the opportunity, Bryns talents will absolutely grow and inspire others.
Bryn has seen her fair share (and then some) of hardship. I don’t know many women (or people) who face tragedy and heartbreak with such peace and grace.
I will forever be grateful to Bryn for her amazing presence, for her love of helping others in need, and for her friendship. I endlessly thank you for the opportunity to give this nomination.
Much respect, Stacy.

Hi Flora! I’m bursting with excitement and optimism to nominate my sister, Alissa Gloor!! I truly feel this course is part of her path in life. She’s had some big changes and money is an issue, so getting a free spot would be so incredible. She is blooming, and true…this course would be just the fertilizer she needs.
Check this story out…
Alissa has always been artistic (I wish I could post some of the drawings from when she was little), but she married her high-school sweetheart and had two daughters in her early 20’s. He’s an organic farmer and she took care of the kids and worked at their Montessori school to afford the tuition on their income. The kids are now 14 and 16 and she finally got the chance to move away from working at the school, which was great, but she needed a change in life….she’s spent the last 16 years making her kids the top priority in her life. There was only a little room for art in those years. Mostly art with her kids. That was wonderful at the time…but times, they’re a changing.
Alissa started taking “transparent communication” and Thomas Hubl workshops as part of her training at the Montessori school several years ago. This started a huge transformation in her life. An unexpected one.
Unfortunately, part of this involved splitting up from her husband, who she had been with since she was 16…the age of her oldest daughter now. She’s had a few really tough years trying to find herself and her new life. She left the house she birthed both her daughters in and had been so rooted to for all those years and is putting it up for sale. She’s moved into a place with her girls and is making ends meet, while being deliberate and focused on also fulfilling herself and her dreams to live with more awareness, connection, and meaning. She discovered painting during this time and it’s been a healing and rewarding expression for her. She’s looking to take her painting (and her life!) to a new level now.
Sooo…we were chatting on the phone last week after seeing each other for Christmas and she starts telling me about how excited she is about painting and how she is trying to figure out a way to incorporate art into how she will make a living in the future. She told me that our family friend Pam and her have been connecting a lot around art and exploring the idea of intuitive painting.
Well, like any sister, I interrupted her before she could finish her story to say….this sounds just like what my friend Flora Bowley does. Her jaw dropped (I could tell, because there was a moment of silence over the phone). And she said she was indeed talking about Flora Bowley! Pam had just signed up for an online course and they had both been totally geeking out over Flora’s book and artwork. We couldn’t believe it. What a small world.
I told her how I shared a house in Bellingham with Flora about 10 years ago, and that our Dad actually has an early Bowley painting hanging in his living room.
Whaaa? This seemed liked a message that she was on the right path. I encouraged her to get in touch with Flora and consider taking a class when she could afford it.
I went to bed that night and had the craziest dream. My sister, my Dad, and I were visiting what I would have to describe as a compound – Flora Bowley’s compound. It was weird, though, because it was actually not at all like a space Flora would create. It was a warehouse, or series of warehouses…like a city block. A lot of steel and kind of dark/gloomy. BUT, the spaces were all really magical and there was art everywhere and a lot of interesting people milling around and hanging out. Only two moments of the dream are still with me. In one, my sister came upstairs from some basement area where people were all dancing. She was wearing a ponytail, but she had it pulled up to the front, so it was kind of like a unicorn horn. She was soooo happy and enthusiastic and dancing. She seemed ALIVE. The second scene was at the very end, and it was memorable because it was very realistic seeming, even when I woke up. I was watching Flora paint a wall-sized canvas in a room with a glass ceiling, and she was using paint that was like nothing I’d ever seen. It looked like rainbows. The paint drops were all their own small rainbows. She’d dip her brush into the can and splatter the canvas. The rainbow paint would run down the wall-sized canvas creating stripy rainbow trails…and then Flora would use her brush very skillfully to just soften the edges and create the most amazing background for this mind-blowing mural she was painting. This dream was so epic and surreal. I haven’t even told Alissa about it yet! Seemed like another cool sign.
That brings me to the present…I read Flora’s email today and just about died. After getting the okay from Alissa to nominate her with a long biographical story…here it is! I love my sister so much. I want her to live the life of her dreams. I don’t want money or uncertainty to hold her back! I think this course will be an inspiration that will change her life in so many positive ways.
P.S. Flora, I’d love to see you…maybe the next time I’m in Portland visiting family. It’s been too long!! Hugs, love, Julia

I would like to nominate Jessica Bailey because I think this oppurtunity would be of great use to her. I have seen how hard she works to produce teh art she does. Her persistance and attention to detail is great. Jess is one to take up as many oppurtunities as she can to help improve herself and her work.

Awesome Flora, I would love love love Amy Burke O’Toole to receive this wonderful gift. She was the one who nominated me and I was the lucky recipient last time. I enjoyed the course so much. She has been a special friend, rather my first FB friend (when I had no clue how this worked two years back) I have been so blessed with her friendship and kindness. It would be an absolute treasure for her soul to be in your class.

Hello Flora. I would love my sister Lynda Faulkner to win a place in your Bloom True course. Lynda is a wonderful artist and a very kind a helpful person. She is very friendly and volunteers to help people she doesn’t know with whatever they need. Her energy and generosity are astounding. It might be weeding a garden, cooking meals and running errands for shut ins and babysitting dogs for various neighbours. If someone has a need , she tries to fill it for them. She doesn’t only help strangers but goes out of her way if she sees a family member floundering too. Recently she realised a boatman was in strife and organised his rescue. If the world had more people like my sister it would be a better place.

Hi Flora,
I’m thrilled to have an opportunity to nominate my wife:
Jessica Lee.
She is an emerging artist and you are her inspiration.
I’m excited about the artist she is becoming…I am nominating her because I know the bold expressions of her connection to nature, her wild spirit and her deep-seeing intuition could be rightfully nurtured in the vividly colored and magically styled world of Bloom True.
I’m nominating the part of her that is supportive and kind even when it’s taken for granted. I’m nominating the part of her that is wild and free even when it’s a caged bird. I’m nominating the way she shakes with excitement when she talks about your art and how inspiring it is.
Jessica Lee and I have been together for 15 years and we have 2 children. I’m wanting you to know the part of her that has set her creativity aside so that I could develop my life and so that our children could be nurtured, the part of Jessica Lee that works hard raising a family and has allowed herself very little time to do her art and be in that headspace. I am nominating the part of Jessica Lee that says humbly “it’s just not my time, maybe when the kids are older” because I know she deserves for it to be her time. It gets to a point where as a family we knew that she is hurting from not creating art, so we make some scheduling changes to allow more time.
Jessica Lee has mentioned many goals she had that were guided by your blog and Seeds of Inspiration, and she has said many times how much she wants to take your workshop. I am glad to have the opportunity to nominate my wife for this giveaway because we just haven’t had the funds for the e-course with raising a family and all.
This winter she had her first public art showing of her mixed media creations and I am so proud of her and thankful for your Seeds of Inspiration. I’m validating her artistic force, her untamed expression, her crafty assemblages of colors and emotion. I am nominating all the aforementioned attributes of my wife but most of all I am nominating the artistic spirit within her that deserves more attention, because as she grows in creative experiences, like she would if she was selected for your e-course, her self-empowerment strengthens and that is what is keeping the love alive in my family. I am very grateful for my wife’s artistic spirit, patience, intuition and all the second chances that she gives me, it’s the least I can do to help her have a chance at reaching her goals . Thanks for being an inspiration and considering Jessica Lee for the e-course giveaway! Cheers.

Cheers.
Flora – thank you for your generosity – giveaway#2 would be a truly beautiful blessing for my dear friend Lynne Salmon. I did your course 2 years ago with two friends from Brisbane, Australia and it has completely ignited my artistic experience. Lynne is a very special woman to me – a second mother – who was at my home just today admiring the canvases I worked on during my time on the course with you. During the course of her visit I learned more of Lynne’s story. Lynne is now in her early 70s and used to paint and draw a lot before having her three children. As is the case for many beautiful women out there child-rearing took over and her art took a back seat – a big back seat. Some 40 years later she has moved to Brisbane to live with her daughter after a disastrous second marriage where her husband defrauded her and took every dollar from her possible. Her story brings me to tears – as much for the lack of comfort that she she should be enjoying in her later years (she would have been a comfortable self-funded retiree but now must live extremely modestly) but also for her approach to life – her gratitude for the life she had and also for the life she has now living in our community. Lynne is an enormous blessing in my life – she is a second mother to me (with my own blessed mother suffering dementia). We are able to have understanding conversations, laugh and provide each other with a wonderful and nurturing relationship. Just today I was asking Lynne if she would be interested to take her art up again this year and invited her to a sketch group that I am about to join. Then I have come home to read about the generosity of your offer. It seems synchronicity is truly at work. It would be truly incredible for Lynne to experience the joy of your teaching and immerse herself in the course for the entire five weeks. I will buy her supplies if you are able to provide the course – it would be an honour to bless this extremely wise elder of our tribe in this way. Thank you Flora for the opportunity to share your art and love Jen

I’m nominating my wife, Amy, because she is nothing short of amazing. She is the foundation on which our family is built, and the glue that holds it together. As a stay at home mom, she has been forced to sacrifice a lot to be there to raise our two children. One of those sacrifices has been her art. It’s one of her true loves in life, and she misses it dearly. Being chosen for this giveaway would mean so much to her, and may serve to re-ignite that spark that has been put on the back burner in place of her other daily responsibilities. Please consider picking this amazing woman. Thank you, and good day.

I nominate Kim Whitehall-Holla, a lapsed artist who needs more help than a lapsed Catholic, to find the way back now the children have flown the coop. She lives on the far west coast of Australia so would definitely be your most geographically remote student.

Dear Flora, I would like to nominate my wonderful wife for your art course. She is an amazing teacher, who works with small children every day, as well as running art classes for kids after school. She is a truly creative spirit who has not had the opportunity to spread her own artistic wings, due to constantly giving to others. She inspires me in my own artwork and is always encouraging me to paint, draw and pursues my artistic dreams. I would love to see her inspired and nourished through your course, as I believe it is her turn to be brave and artistic and have her own creative spirit developed band nurtured. Thank you, Doug.

I am privileged to nominate my daughter Jessica Bailey for Giveaway #2. This year she is a second year art student, at Unitec, Auckland, New Zealand. She has been working all holidays at our preschool and hasn’t had much opportunity to paint for herself. This is a loss for the paint but a blessing for the children she cares for. She may not have a canvas in front of her but she colours their lives with wonder, craziness, such gentle nurturing and respectful care. She is a child whisperer and touches everything with her magic. She is a creative explorer, a lusciously lanky sponge who seeks and creates inspiration everywhere she looks. And did I mention she has the voice of a woodland fairy? She is so worthy of this opportunity and what a wonderful idea and generous offer this is. Thank you Flora. 🙂

I nominate myself. Wait, please don’t skip this comment. I will explain why I am nominating myself and hopefully it will also make sense for you. I am 37 years old and during the past year I realised that I am my own best friend (not due to the lack of them, I have really good friends and I love them), but because I am the one that should care the most about me. Unfortunately, that was not the way I have been living for the past 36 years. I have always put others before me (kid, husband, friends, etc). I have been neglecting myself. So this year I decided to:
-Grow personally (this course will be one of the most important steps for me as I love the way you, Flora, see life and express it),
-Embrace my imperfections and learn to love them (this course will show me to embrace imperfections by letting go of fear),
-Take my passion to the next level (I love painting and would love to start making a way to the next level… maybe only by sharing my paintings publicly),
To sum up, at 37 I am discovering a new way of life… a way to embrace myself, love me, put me first. Things I have discovered thanks to Flora’s book and other artists… Thank you, Flora for this opportunity!

Dear Flora, I would like to nominate my Mom to your art course.
I’m 10 years old, I have a 9 year old sister and a 15 years old brother. We are living in Hungary. My Mother loves art, she paint beautiful flowers and watching videos about teachers like you. Always try new technics and help us to do so. She helps us to be creative all the time. My brother wants to learn in Art School next year and my Mom helps him a lot in drawing. I think she is not happy nowadays since my brother got ill 2 years ago. We have not enough money she cannot join your class but I think she would be very very happy if she win a place.
Sorry for the mistake in English as my ant helped to transilate what I wrote to you. love Luci

I nominate my lovely mum because she inspired my brother and I to be creative when we were growing up and encouraged us to be true to ourselves and to do what we were good at. She had painted beautifully but alas for over a decade has not been inspired to paint as she feels stuck . Probably because in her art class painted and copied others artwork. So it didn’t come from her.
As we have talked over the years about painting I really feel that an intuitive creative process would be a next step in really discovering the creativity inside of her that I know is simmering under the surface. I know this with every fibre of my being. I have done Floras course at the end if 2013 and found it to be one of the best things I have ever done and I know that she would love this process so much. I know my mum cannot afford this for herself so I would really love to nominate her with all my heart. Good luck Ma xx

it’s time. i need to dive in and commit to pulling out what’s inside. it keeps me awake and then when i think I’m ready I walk away. hummmm. Going to make the video!!! also, my daughter in law, Chelsea Wasson has an artist within. She doesn’t even know it. As with most struggling young families there isn’t extra money so she won’t explore because not in the budget. i’d love to be a part of her having the opportunity to learn just how amazing she is!
I have a blog and have’t been on it fir some time. fell into a dark space for awhile, recommitting for my upcoming 58th birthday. inspired by Joss at Soulbrush!

Hi Flora!
Although I am trying to get a spot for myself :). I would love to nominate my daughter Sarah Pagan for this course! Sarah is 24 with so much creative potential that I hurts my mother’s heart to see her struggle with finding her place in her world! She loves to write and paints a bit, but seems to be smothered in uncertainty :(. A voice she has and lots to say..But hasn’t found the right channel for it! She had the courage that I only wish I had at that age and I know that this course is exactly what she needs to set the world on fire! She is searching so hard but hasn’t found the path…I truly believe that BloomTrue would be that catalyst! Oh how I would love for her to win a spot !!!! God bless you what you are doing!!!!

I would like to nominate my mum, Sylvia, for the course. My mum is in her 70’s (she’d kill me for telling) and has always had a creative spirit. She dreamed of being an architect but pressure from family caused her to get married instead. After that her life became about us. She care for my dad despite a tempestuous marriage, hurried her son, her baby. Continues to mother my sister and I grown as we are. As a child she helped me with all my art projects and those are some of my best memories if her, because she enjoyed it so! So recently I shared your book with her Flora. Her eyes lit up and she devoured it. She took notes!!! She went on line and fell in love. Right now she has set up a room in her house, complete with covered floors and nails to hang cavaves on. She’s hooked but she’s scared. Whether she wins or not I will paint with her and do my best to help her over the hump, but winning this would be such a blessing for a much deserving artistic soul!

I would like to nominate my wife Erin. Not only is she the most hardworking person I know raising two young boys and keeping our household running smoothly, but she is ultra talented and creative. Her gift is picking just the right accent and artistic touch to add to family gatherings or the kids playtime. She likes working with the kids to create birthday cards or drawings for my office. She is also courageous enough to try new things and work outside her comfort zone.

Dear Flora, Thankyou so much for this oppertunity that you sharing, it gives me a chance to nominate my spiritual sister and very close friend for a place on your , #2 course.
Finding you and what you share lifted Amber to another leval of herself I have never seen, she has always been arty and crafty and tried different things but she has definetley found a beautiful way of expressing her love of the divine feminine our amazing mother earth through this style of painting that i havnt seen in other things she has done, she truly loses herself locked away in her garden house immersed in what she is doing. Amber is one of lifes beautiful women who shares all her love and tries to inspire other lovely ladies to be confident and to be able to come into themselves through the arts and Goddess, so much so that she helped one of our friends without knowing it at the time to come out of a very dark place with her love and sharing the joy she has for her painting, Amber introduced our friend to her experience and introduced you to her through the www, after taking her down to her garden house and saying to her whats mine is yours now paint and left her alone…….well the outcome was staggering the paintings she produced were amasing, but the best thing to come out of it was the change in time to our friend who carried on with the intuitive painting and has found herself again with Ambers love patience giving heart, im sure she wont mind me sharing this, Amber lost a beautiful 2 year old son ( Liam) about 30 years ago now and every year at this time is the time she remembers him with all of her heart and soul, we never know how she will be, and I know that to be chosen to have a place on your course would lift her tremendously, it doesnt matter what she is going through she is always an inspiration and a heart to turn to if needed she is a true Goddess and friend and an amazing mother and grandmother and I hope that one day you will also get to meet her.
Bright Blessings Janx

i would like to nominate my dear friend Floor.
I had so much wonderful result from taking this course. She is the sweetest person I know and I would love for her to have the same chance and take this course.
She is an extremely hardworking and never gives up. Which sometimes results in her overworking herself for others. And also as a law-student she works really hard even though she doesn’t really like it . it would never come to her mind to stop and take time for herself.
She is talented and creative yet she would never on her own feel sure enough to go into a crafts store and buy supplies let alone start something . Her perfectionism stops her from so much and this course changed my life on that aspect so I wish she could experience the same!
Thank you for what you already gave me through this course, and I would love that Floor gets the same chance :).

I nominate my soul sister Nicole Hughes! An amazing woman and single mom of a teen age boy, she is always giving to others. Her spirit is like a sparkling gem – she shines wherever she is and enhances any gathering or ensemble. She doesn’t make as much time for her art (or herself) as she needs, and a course like this will take her beautiful paintings to the next level. I can’t think of a more deserving person, or someone who will get more from your classes!

Dear Flora,
I nominate my wife Karen, who gave me the class as a present, and is as excited about it as I am. We work together, have our studios, business, and lives in the same house AND would love to take your class together.
January is our month to close the gallery and recharge our creative and person lives. Blooming together would be great!
Thank you for considering us,
Patrick Robison

I nominate my wife, Kristin. She works very hard and takes little to no time for herself to relax and refresh. She tends to be a little more left-brained and has always believed that she lacks creativity. I would love for her to experience the joy of letting go, jumping in and discovering her own remarkable creative self. I would love for her to MAKE TIME to relax and dig deep and marvel at what I already see inside of her.

I nominate my daughter, Debbie Eilbeck. She has been following you for many years and loves your art. She has really had a rough year or two and her art is her “place to go” to help heal the pain she has experienced recently…please please will you consider her, thanks.

I would like to nominate my talented friend Bryn Meadows.
Bryns talents are expansive, with her natural healing and empathic abilities to help people. I also consider her to be one of my dearest friends. The art Bryn has done in the past is inspiring, inquisitive and provoking. I kind of talked her into giving me a painting of hers and still have it in my bedroom which I love.
She would be a great canditate for this course and every person who heals people in their daily life needs to take time for themselves as well and I know she would greatly appreciate this experience and has been wanting to attend for a long time. For Bryn, I believe art is her healer and a wonderful way to express herself.
Thank you for your consideration,

Lacy Martin. Lacy is a graphic designer and a dear friend of mine, who has truly inspired my happiness through her work. Every single day is a new, blank canvas for her and her creativity. Lacy has been through more challenges and hardships that a young person our age (27) should have to go through. Her husband Corey is in the United States Navy and has been deployed over two times within the past 5 years, her father has (thankfully) survived a battle with cancer and both her parents are raising her 2 year old nephew, who she loves dearly but cannot see very often. All of these things, alone with her expansive imagination and HUGE heart, help mold the artistic vision she thrives on. Lacy put herself through The Charleston School of Arts, and only wishes to be able to continue to express her passion through every outlet she can find. Her talent will bring nothing but a smile to your face and hope to your heart. She deserves this! Her art has helped me personally heal, and I wish she could be rewarded with something like this that would make her as happy as she has made others 🙂
I nominate my godmother and aunt, JoHanna. She is a very talented artist who’s been painting for many years. I know this course would be perfect for her because she always worries so much about her art being perfect and precise, I feel this course would help her to break free from all that and allow her to *truly* injoy the experience of painting and letting go. I also think this course would be good for her because she’s been under a lot of stress over the years and I feel this “free” painting style will help her to let go of some of this stress she may be hanging on to. I know she would LOVE a shot at this ecourse and she is like a second mom to me, always looking out for me and giving me good advice when I need it, and I would love to be able to help give this opportunity to her. She well deserves it and I love her dearly. <3

I nominate my amazing co-worker, Sue. Sue is an amazing friend & colleague to me, but an even better wife and mom to her family! She always puts others first, so she doesn’t take the time to explore her infinite creativity and talent the way she should (and has in the past). I hope winning this will give her the push she needs to take time for herself to explore the imagination and skill she possesses within.

I nominate myself. After a 37 year career in nursing, I am now living with disability. I had a life changing injury, and after 2 years of PT, surgery, counseling, I am re emerging as an artist. I have always used art as my “therapy” and have had some modest success in showing /selling my work, primarily as a quilter/dollmaker.
I have not been able to do any of that in the two years since my injury. My physical therapist has said painting, was doable for me, given my physical limitations. I have begun teaching myself, and could sure use some help and direction! I am excited and have looked at the course after finding your book so helpful.
I am on a very fixed income now, so I would need to have the course as a gift. I will surely put it all to use the rest of my days, and would be eternally grateful for this gift, as I am at a place where I now have the time to devote to this, and nothing is more important to me now as I begin to rebuild a new life for myself at age 58. A new sense of purpose! Thank you for your consideration, and for this book which got me started in painting.

I’d like to nominate my friend Tibby Malyon. She is such a lovely person, so kind and generous and a wonderful friend to have. She loves painting so much and has just got a HUGE easel for Christmas. If I win this for her, she’s going to need it! I know she’d love to do this course and it would be a wonderful way for me to say “Thank you for being such an awesome friend”. I’d buy her a place but I don’t work as I am looking after my 84-year-old Mother and can’t leave her on her own. Thank you so much for this opportunity, Flora.

Flora, thank you for this opportunity and for your generosity! I nominate my Facebook friend John Rodriquez. I met John on Facebook a while back. John has been a great source of inspiration to me. He has not been painting for very long, I think. However his dedication, persistence and reverence for the process of painting has been remarkable. John’s hunger for the creative process and learning has been very consistent. I have been watching him share his work on a daily basis for a few months now. I also happens to know that he had his eyes on this particular e-course as intuitive painting is what he is attracted to. I know that John would be a wonderful addition to any of your online groups Flora.

I nominate my sister Joy. She is a very talented artist who needs something like this to focus on. We both love to buy paints, pads, color pencils and stuff, but she is much better than I am at art.

I don’t know of anyone more deserving than Shannon Cymbaluk Miller. She is kind and generous and a hardworking mom – a true artist who is always looking for ways to grow and develop her skills. I wish I had the magic words that could make this happen for her because she would really appreciate this opportunity. The only magic word I know is PLEASE. PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!

I nominate my friend Ildikó Karsay from Hungary, who is a talented artist, but with her 3 kids she doesn’t have the financial resources to develop her skills. She surprised me several times with her beautiful paintings, she really deserves an opportunity. She’s true friend for me.

I would like to nominate my mom. She is a wonderful mom and also my best friend. She is an amazing person and loves art. This would would be so awesome for her. We have had some pretty rough months with moving my grandma due to alzhiemers however at the beginning of that journey my mom broke her knee. She was unable to do anything and to make matters worse she now has blood clots throughout her entire leg. So a broken knee that should of healed is now going to be a lifelong issue. She is finally able to somewhat get around and has just started to draw again. She was unable to get to her table. This is something I know my mother would really enjoy doing. She really needs some fun in her life right now. She is the best mom, grammy, and daughter that anyone could ask for I really hope she gets to do this.

I nominate my best friend Linda Medd, affectionately known as Lucy. Linda spent most of her career years in a corporate environment where she was responsible for bringing marketing ideas to life. Over the 30 plus years of our friendship, Linda and I have discussed her dream of having time to explore bringing her personal passions to life through art. Since Linda has retired from her corporate career, she has been able to begin her journey through art which has allowed her to take many forward steps in her journey of the soul. I watched the healing miracle of art as Linda loved her mother through her battle with Alzheimers. Linda has taught me much about art and nature and, most importantly, what joy can be found by pursuing one’s true passions. I would love for Linda to have the opportunity to further explore her passions which will allow her to help others through her art.

I nominate my friend Heidi. She took care of me after my eye operation. She took a painting course where everyone paints along with the instructor–pAinting the same thing. She was so pleased she hung it on the wall by her desk. Your class could expose her to more joy.

Dear Flora,
I nominate my friend Ronda Haley. We have been friends since high school art classes. She is so creative and talented. She had an accident at work years ago and hurt her leg and ankle. She cannot stand for long periods of time. That doesn’t stop her from creating all kinds of wondrful art.
I mailed her your book a few years back as a birthday present. She has experimented with your process. Her birthday is coming up again in February. What a wonderful present an e-course would make. She would be tremendously grateful. I think it would make her cry to recieve such a wonderful present that is so much a part of her heart and soul. I know it would make my heart full too to hear about and see all she is learning and doing in your class.

In 2014 I was one of the very fortunate humans to take Flora Bowley’s workshop. My friend Robbin and I spent a day cleaning and organizing my studio to prepare for the abundance of Flora’s workshop. I would like to nominate my friend Robbin McCrum for this giveaway. Robbin is a very creative person who loves to bring spirit and art into her everyday life. She is an amazing glass artist, and a kind and generous person who has had a longing to do Flora’s workshops.

l would like to nominate my mom, Cassy Hessler, for the Bloom True E-Course.
All of my life I have known that she loves to pursue creative endeavors and I believe that it is watching her craft and paint that led me to my own creative path. To this day (at 27 year old) I have my childhood dresser still painted up like a house in my bedroom and I cherish it.
Life has been hard and she has made a lot of sacrifices, from being on her own at a young age to raising three girls and working long days and nights, to a divorce, and most recently to a diagnosis of breast cancer and the following treatments. And through all of it I have watched her work tirelessly and bend over backwards to provide all that she can for my siblings and I. She always thinks of others first, she always puts her own desires aside to help others and she has thus pushed a lot of her creative pursuits to the side.
This last year has been so hard on our family with her diagnosis, treatment, and now repayment of those medical costs. I believe that this course could be an amazing way for her to have some time for herself, to find a path back to her creativity, and to have a way to heal.
She is so strong and it blows my mind to see everything that she does and has done in her life and I would be proud to be even half as strong as she is. I am already signed up to take the course this January and to be able to give her a chance to experience this course and take the journey alongside me would be amazing. <3

I nominate my life long friend and dearest darling sister, Dawn Agee-Bailey for the BloomTrue E-Course. She is a single mom who has always been an inspiration for me through the years because of her fearless spirit and brave, unwavering support to her children and family. Every time I get down, I think if she can do it, I can do it. She is one of the most creative people I know who has worked so hard for so many years and thinks she doesn’t have the talent or time for herself to create. She is always so modest and self-deprecating and tired during the work week and cleaning the house and clothes on the weekends that she doesn’t make time for herself to just create. She even has her own studio room at home where she is so talented wrapping and decorating and when she paints, its so awesome. She just needs encouragement and support in a greater supportive creative environment on a time scale that she can manage at her own pace. She makes me laugh and cry and and be brave. I know that she would truly Bloom True and this course would change her life like it has mine. Sometimes it is so hard to pull someone out of their every day routine to experience something completely different. I know she would be so grateful and I would be so happy for her to have this opportunity. She deserves it and could never allow herself to spend the money on this course just for herself. Her youngest daughter just left for Australia for a year today. This e-course would give them both an opportunity to share something new in their lives apart together. Thanks Flora for offering this opportunity – So very cool of you !!! All the best, Sisters from Kingwood, TX – HAPPY NEW BLOOM TRUE YEAR !!!

I am so excited to take Flora’s e-course in a couple of weeks and would love the share the opportunity with my mother. My mom grew up in a household where creativity and art-making was not valued. She was told repeatedly in her home and at school that she was not an artist and that it was not a valuable pursuit. Despite this, my mom has taken watercolor, acrylic, mixed-media and clay classes, exploring her creativity but never fully allowing herself to be called an artist. I have watched her repeatedly downgrade her ability and lack the confidence to really release herself into her art. Flora’s course would open something within her, allowing her to see her artistic power differently and in a new light, and permitting her to loosen up in her art-making so that the process becomes just as important, if not more so, as the final product. My mom has always supported my artistic pursuits, and I would love to offer her some support in return. Thank you for this opportunity Flora and team!

I nominate my beautiful daughter Kathleen Rainsong for the e-course! She gives so much nourishment, support and encouragement to others both her family and students! This e-course would concretize a vehicle for creative flow that will be nourishing and inspiring for her to continue her writing. She is a visual person and creates beauty all around her in her environment, in her cooking and the way she dresses! I believe this course would be such a gift for her to loosen that flow and nourish her soul.

Hi Flora!
I nominate my soulsister, Danni Suplicki. She is an amazing woman, strong, kind and brave. She is someone who never ceases to inspire me, whatever she happens to be working on. This past year saw her bring earth-side a wonderful baby boy, her first child, and a wee, chubby blessing. Being a parent, no matter how rewarding, can also be depleting. I know that your course will help her refresh her spirit and refill her stores so she can have that much more to give – to her family, friends, everyone. Thank you so much for the chance to nominate a loved one! ^__^
XOXO

My new friend from Japan Hitomi is just beginning her artistic devotion and has joined the ancient tribe of artists. She has the talent and the drive and is quite sweet and nice. This is the most amazing looking class ever, it looks like so much fun.
So for giveaway #2 may I suggest Hitomi to play with the paint to learn this life changing technique and have more good fun.
Thank you Flora for inspiring me beyond belief. I dream of the day I can take your class and your book is already waiting for me on request at the library, very excited to read it! Many hugs and much Aloha from Hawaii.

My dearest wife has helped me bloom true for 11 years, her presence has been an amazing positive influence on my life. When I can, I like to return this gift and help her find ways to nurture her glowing spirit and creativity. Sometimes I see her pick up a paint brush and hold it above paper, holding still, for long periods of time. In this gesture, I can see her desire to express her joy, but a hesitancy to be free with her medium. I really believe that Bloom True will inspire the connection she wants and needs to express her truth and love for the world she makes better for being in.
With that said, I’d like to nominate Annalee DeBoer for this generous giveaway. Thank you for considering her.

I would like to nominate my dear friend Jen Zeman. Jen and I met online through a shared passion for writing and creative pursuits. We’ve known each other several years now, and we often joke we were clearly twins separated at birth.

Hello Flora
Thank you for this generous gesture, especially the oopportunity to nominate a special person to join us in the Bloom True course.
I would like to nominate my friend Lee-Ann Fowler. In the last six months, Lee-Ann got married and then lost her dad two weeks later. He was diagnosed with cancer in September and passed away on the 25th November – the disease was very aggressive and his death was horrible to witness.
Lee-Ann has decided that 2015 will be the year for her to tap into her creativeness and find a outlet to deal with her stress and her grief. At the moment, she still feels like she is stuck in a a movie “nightmare” and as if she is living someone else’s life.
I believe joining the Bloom True course would help Lee-Ann navigate her way through this nightmare, and out the other side. We live in the same city (Perth, Western Australia), and I would love to be able to share this journey with her. I feel that your philosphy, which underpins your painting style, will help her to find her way back.
Thank you
Carina

I would love to nominate my friend Deborah. She has really done some major healing in her life over the last year and a half. I know that this would be a divine experience for her helping her to trust herself, her amazing talent and express her soul.
She is a very supportive friend, funny and wonderfully creative!

I am nominating my beautiful niece Nicole Shenk. Nicki is a wonderful person who sometimes forgets that. She grew up with a perfectionist mother who instilled in her that everything HAD to be perfect, even folding towels the “wrong” way was a reason to be yelled at or spanked.
Today, Nicki is 34 and has 2 boys ages 10 and 1 and is trying to break habits instilled in her from childhood. She is going to a counselor and has been working hard on learning coping skills to help deal with the times when things are not “perfect” in her life. I have also been building up her confidence by pointing out all the wonderful qualities she possess and I can tell she is making progress.
In Sept. I visited her in Buffalo (I live in FL) and decided that I would teach her how to journal and paint. I had taken a class taught on Lifebook 2014 called Cosmic Smash Booking by Catt Geller. In the class we glued a photo onto a composition book, glued 2 pages together which made the book all neat and tidy and ready for journaling and painting. Then came the best part of the lesson…crinkling all the pages while releasing all the thoughts of why you DO NOT have to be a perfectionist. We also gave thanks to the earth and the tress for making the book and allowing us to use that energy to give back to the world that we live in. Needless to say, Nicki’s facial expression was priceless when I showed her how we were going to fold and crinkle the pages. Once she started, she loved it. I then told her we would each write in our journal and then cover the page with gesso and paint over it. We wrote in the books but then did not have time to paint and tried to set time aside before I left to finish but that never happened. Today she is still writing in the book but has not painted.
I purchased painting supplies for her in Sept. but they have not been used. I think this class is the next step in life for her. Not just to learn how to paint but to learn that is OK to be herself and that she can be free to be who she is which is a very loving and caring soul! It would be awesome to have the guidance of so many wonderfully supportive women to help her grow from within so she can then give that support to other women who may need some strength to get their lives on a positive track.
Thank you so much for offering this, Flora. This is so very generous of you. xoxo

Hi flora,
. The moment I saw this opportunity to nominate someone I grew teary eyed.. I have a beautiful friend Tracie Skids who is also a neonatal ICU nurse with myself on the night shift! Tracie is an extraordinary woman. She is a single mom of three children ages 18,16-and 11.Needless to say she faces many challenges financially and emotionally to make it all happen..nit to mention an ex husband that makes it even more impossible to even get one step ahead. Tracie just had her home foreclosed on and was forced ti move to another town in an apartment last March Tracie lost her “best friend and love of her life to a tragic suicide. All of this being said she is the first one to put together fund raisers for other people that have hardships.. She is an absolutely selfless despite her own hardships.. I feel she a true representative of what humanity stands for.(Jeez I’m making myself cry!)when tracies boyfriend passed away I strongly encouraged her to come over and paint with me.. I did my best to teach some of your techniques that you taught me on those wonderful 4 days in Boston that I’m eternally grateful for. She LOVES painting!!! She bought an art journal and all kinds of supplies… We even do art at work on slow nights when the little preemie are behaving! Her car got broken into a few weeks ago and all her art supplies were stolen!!! In other words can this girl just get a break? Well I nominate this wonderful girl to paint with you… I could give no greater gift if I were a millionaire. It’s going to be so hard for you to pick the winners flora!! There is so many wonderful and deserving people!! I have no doubt that you will know who it should be.. I nominate Andrene Coury for Giveaway #2. Due to a well-deserved retirement, she is finally getting the time to do what she enjoys and loves to do. She is creative and talented and her little projects turn out absolutely amazing. I very much appreciate the beauty as I am not a creative and crafty person. My aunt is the best! She definitely will make the most of the class and will surprise you along the way with her talent.

I would like to nominate my daughter, Kaitlyn Keaton. She is very talented. She attended a school of art for one year before deciding that she is too practical to pay all that money for art school. She married young and is now divorced and going it alone. She does things like paints a huge face on her bathroom wall when the impulse strikes her. Practicality is taking precedence over her muse. She has a very practical job that involves no art, no creativity. I am super sad to see her let go completely of the artist within her. I would love to see her creating again and I think your course would rekindle her fire for art. She just needs the flame fanned to remind her that she was made to create art.

Hi Flora,
I would like to nominate my friend Theresa for a spot in this class. She is everything you could ask for in a friend she’ caring, thoughtful, generous, and hilarious. Our conversations are the best. She never complains that I text her fifty billion times a day with the most random thoughts imaginable. I go to her with every artistic question I have and she always has an answer. Every single time. She is a great wife and mother who does so much for the people in her life. She brings so much light and laughter to my life every day. I could never thank her enough for that, but a spot in this class would be a good start!

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to nominate my best friend and kindred spirit Connye Corey for your free giveaway spot. Recently Connye purchased your Brave book and called me all excited to say you live in our home of Portland!!
I believe your course will be a huge blessing to her. This past year Connye has been actively pursuing expression of herself through her painting. Her approach to life at all times is one of reverence for nature and spirit and expressing it through her being. I could not think of a more divine experience than your offering for my friend and I know from the bottom of my heart that she will make a wonderful contribution with her presence to you and the bloom true tribe.

Sara, my bear, is a 27 year old who was fortunate enough to take your e-course with me, her mom, last year when she was being treated for lymphoma. The class, among other things,of course, changed her life and sent her in an artistic and spiritual journey that, unfortunately, is not over. She just found out she is not in remission and could use the healing energy of you and your teachings once more. She and I painted together and not only strengthened our bond, but escaped for hours with creativity. There was so much beauty in what could have been an ugly time. Watching her growth as a new found artist made us both so happy. I would be so grateful to offer that beauty to her again in what feels like a dark place at the moment. Thank you for sharing so much more than painting classes.

Flora,
I would like to nominate my mom, for the prize of this course. She is a very creative person, yet cannot seem to paint a painting due to being scared of making mistakes. She has had a blank canvas up for over a year on her easle! I think this course would be the perfect thing for her, for it could help her lose the stress of making mistakes and simply create!
Thank you.

I would like to nominate my artist friend Jackie P. Neal, who loves painting and mixed media as much as I do. She would be the perfect candidate, because she has a great intuition in creating her art works, and being a part of art auctions for the right cause she could donate wonderful works.

I would like to nominate my artsy friend, Iris Fritschi-Cussens, for all that she has done over the last 8 months in helping me to inspire the 190+ artists in our group who are struggling to make a living through art. As an artist who is pressed for time in her own creative art making, her devotion of time to others is a selfless act that I would like to acknowledge and hopefully reward. This young mum of two boys shares an empathy and awareness of others that usually comes to others later in life. Her sweet nature and willingness to help others is admirable. I would be elated if she won a spot in your course. <3 <3 <3

My good friend, Stephanie is one of the most inspirational people I know. She has selflessly given her time, energy and love to the local community by starting a free art group for kids in the community. Every week she encourages any and all kids from 3-12 grade to come and learn about artists, creating, letting go and building on what is speaking to them at the moment. While doing all this, she never shows the kids her struggles whether it’s a financial worry or a health woe that she frequently battles. She fights every day to pull through dark struggles so she can bring light to the people and community around her. I know she would be so delighted if she could be surprised with a gift of this course as it’s something you would never be able to let herself indulge in.

I nominate the beautiful Ms. Erin Drez, mama of two, artist, and seeker. Erin and I had hoped to take the
Bloom True e-course together a year and a half ago, just when her second kiddo was due. Erin, who had introduced me to Flora’s work (and who’d had a visceral, passionate response to the wild freedom and beauty of Flora’s work) knew that adjusting to life with two kids felt too new and uncertain a time to commit to the course. But now that her youngest is 1, art has been on her mind but far from her hands; she has said she feels it calling like it is her third child and it wants her attention. The reason I think Erin would benefit from this course is for her own artistic and personal unfolding but I also know that it is a gift that will keep on giving because when Erin feels creatively fulfilled it gives her the energy and drive to support and teach others as well. She is a brave lady and I know this course would mean a great deal to her as she works to find her creative path.

Last winter I was very sick and undergoing treatments to make me better, which also had the effect of making me feel more sick. My mom signed up for Flora’s class and I was able to slide in at the last minute so we were able to do it together. The creative flow that I learned in the course quickly became the most powerful medicine, rejuvenating and transforming both me and my mom from a place of despair to a place of light. I watched as both of us opened to ourselves and each other as we never had before, and witnessed my mom awaken a child inside that I had not yet met. I had never seen my mother so wild and free as when she was splattering a canvas with radiant colors. It inspired and allowed me to do the same.
So much healing came out of one course with you, dear Flora. Thank you.
Since then, we have both continued on our healing journeys, and found great resolution through creation, but mom has had a harder time staying motivated on her artist path, as she has slipped back into her demanding job as a nurse. I would do anything to see that childlike spark in her ignite once more, starting a wildfire of beautiful art that she is so capable of producing. She just needs a push.
I nominate my mom, Patty, to have the opportunity to experience this course on her own, doing it just for HER. After all that we’ve been through together, I want to give her the opportunity to focus on her own healing, so she may unlock her inner artist once and for ALL.

Dear Flora,
I am writing to nominate my best friend, Lynda Pirtle, to have a spot in your January e-course. Lynda would be the perfect canditate for your course for several reasons. I know Lynda to be a deeply sensitive, introspective, self-aware and creative person who would deeply connect with your intuitive approach. She has a deep desire to express herself artistically as well as integrate her other passions, such as dreamwork, indigeneous and shamanic studies in a creative and artistic way. A while back I sent her a link to a video you had posted. Shortly after viewing the video, Lynda shared that she was watching it with tears in her eyes and said “this is how I want to paint”. I believe your authentic, intuitive approach is perfect for Lynda. It supports Lynda’s natural approach to life, her other creative and intuitive practices, and would allow her to feel nurtured and supported as an artist. Lynda is a phenomenal person who supports her loved one’s with such nurturing and unconditional love and care. She is a wife, a mother and a true giver. With all of my heart, I would love to see Lynda be able to participate in your course. It would be supportive of her in the way she deserves. The experience of participating in your course would be something that Lynda would not only love, enjoy and appreciate, but would greatly benefit from on a deep personal level. I believe this experience with you will change her life in a profound way, personally, artistically and spiritually. I also believe that just by virtue of the lovely soul that Lynda is, she would contribute greatly to your community of artists by way of her sweet presence and participation. Thank you for your time, Flora. Lisa

Hi, Flora. I would like to nominate my dear friend from Sandpoint, Idaho, Robin Rossini McCrum. For many years Robin has been a consummate Fused Glass Artist. Before meeting Robin many years ago, I had only seen primitive versions of fused glass work. Robin’s work is so exceptional it actually defined for me what is possible in that wonderful art form. Robin’s creativity arises from an intensively cultivated energetic sensitivity and a richly developed spiritual core. Having studied for years with shamans in the US and Peru, Robin is also a powerful and gifted healer who has assisted me in resolving the wounds of past trauma, retrieving lost aspects of my soul, and occasionally keeping an eye out for me when my subtle fields require some deeply skilled house keeping. Her artistic gifts are sublime, and her healing abilities profound, and yet her humility guides her to life a simple, unpretentious life with her high school sweet heart, Tim, in the extraordinarily beautiful home they created together in one of the most beautiful settings on our sweet planet. Flora, I think your course would be enormously freeing for this intensely focused being, and your beautiful energy would be profoundly liberating and healing for her. I also think that Robin would bring a deeply informed, humorous and always engaging spirit to your extraordinary community of vital creatives. Thank you for your generosity, Flora, and for the enormous wave of love, creativity and joy that you share so freely with the world. Take care, and see you sometime in this beautiful dance. Love you, John

Hi Flora.
I would like to nominate my beautiful wife for your class. Julz Nally is an illustrator who’s been doing it on her own since moving to Portland almost 8 years ago. I have seen her transform in her art many times, constantly moving towards her true self and style. The past year has been especially trailblazing as she is diving into her past so that she can move forward. It’s a vulnerable time for her as a wife, mother and artist so I feel like your class would be an especially impactful way of leading her into this journey. I appreciate your time and look forward to seeing what Julz does next.

I nominate my sister-in-law, Rainbow, to win a spot in your class. She is one of the most create and organic artists I know. A true inspiration to me. When I introduced her to your book and website, she was so captivated and spent hours and hours soaking in your colors and texture through the pages. I know your class will be life changing for her. Thank you for the generousity.

I nominate Shannon Carson. Aside from just having delivered the most precious little girl on Earth nine weeks ago today, she is a dabbler in many different arts (acrylics, encaustics, jewelry-making, poetry…) and is working toward establishing her own business helping other creative people to express themselves more freely through Reiki, mindfulness, yoga, writing and visual art (Threshold Arts, website under construction).
I know she would be excited to play with you because she talks about you all the time and we discuss your work whenever we encounter it around town (most recently at People’s Yoga NE).
I love her because she makes me laugh every day (even after we argue), because she is beauty incarnate, and because she is trying, the best she knows how, to be a great mom and make a positive impact in the world. I think your explorations will encourage her to keep dreaming big and inspire her to cross her own threshold into her creative potential. Thank you for doing what you do!

I would like to nominate my dear friend, Mari Dreamwalker who works with at-risk teenage girls in Oakland, CA to teach them skills to prevent violenc. She uses painting and mixed media to help them express their emotions. She volunteers these services to her community, as well. She has used paining to heal herself as well, and would make an excellent person to give a scholarship to, because your method would go out into the community and help to heal others.
thank you,
L. Elizondo

With a hopeful heart I nominate my mum. She has been a keen observer of my progress in the previous course and we have had many discussions on all things “Flora Bowley” and the beauty of the blooming true course. She has borrowed my “Intuitive Painting” book by Flora and not given it back, and drools over the colour and flow of Flora’s original “Intuitive Painting e-course video” =)
I think my mum will benefit greatly from not just being immersed in the painting side of the course, but the process of letting go of old negative stories, to really find herself and bloom – she has had a tough life journey.
Either way, I will be buying this course for her (hopefully sooner rather than later), when I have saved up for it.
Thanks Flora and team for doing what you do!

I would like to nominate Nikki Bartel for a spot in the class. I have seen some of Nikki’s work and it is absolutely incredible. She has such talent and I was so honored when I saw the reactions when people acquire her work. Her ability to move people and make them so incredibly happy truly speak volumes about her artistic abilities and I know that being in a class would just be such a wonderful opportunity for her. She has my full vote of support and I truly hope she is chosen. She is a rare gem and so deserving of this!

I would love to nominate one of my dearest friends Katy Keuter. She has gone through so much in the last few years and has had to work her hiney-off, working and caring for her 3 kids all on her own. Her passion is to create and paint and she has had very little time for that. She recently got a job that will finally give a little more time to do exactly what she loves and I know she would love some inspiration, guidance and paint play. Peace, love and paintbrushes!

I nominate my beautiful friend Bunnie Rowell. Bunnie is one of the most creative people I know. She has a flair for design and always finds way to make her surroundings beautiful. She is full of sunshine and lights the way for other people while being a light to herself. Her paintings are lovely and she has recently been exploring encaustic media. I am blessed to have one of her beautiful pieces of art hanging over my fireplace! Being able to attend would bring Bunnie to the next level in her skill. I hope you pick her!!!

Nikki Bartel has a gift and talent that needs this great opportunity. Her heart feels the world around her which enables her mind, heart and soul to create what brings another joy. After putting herself on the back burner to raise her 5 children and work to provide a home for them, it is now her time. Her time to share the art within her soul to learn and develop this God given talent to bless others. She desires to be all she can be and to be the recipient of this great opportunity would enable her to learn more how to express the art within. I truly nominate a worthy recipient.

I nominate Joanne Astarita….She is the OCD queen of the office and needs this course to loosen up. If you move one item on her desk, she goes crazy! She has decided this is her year to bloom and for self discovery. At the end of the year, she took up painting and this course would be perfect for her to learn to how to RELAX…. Please choose her she is a wonderful person and even if she is OCD we love her.

Hi Flora!
I would like to introduce to you one of the most amazingly talented, fun, creative and all-around great people I have ever had the opportunity of knowing. I met my friend Bunnie in the mid 90s when I first moved to Portland. She has always been a huge supporter and has a genuine and giving heart.
Besides what an incredible person she is, I am consistently and pleasantly surprised by her continuing talents in whatever she decides to pursue. She has a real passion to learn and a want to continually improve her talents.
If you were to choose my gorgeous, fabulous friend Bunnie, you would not be disappointed as she will be your prize student given the opportunity to join your course, and be able to learn from an artist she highly admires!
Thank you,
Shauna

I boldly nominate Kammie Kobyleski. After all, with works of art called Sweet Marie and Dragonfly Daydreamer, I can’t imagine a person more deserving and open to the sweetness and dreams created through your course. KK, only two years ago, had an urge to paint. So, she courageously did! Bold strokes of sassy blues and pinks emerged as beautiful, inspiring devas; on recycled canvases of fabric and wood. It left us, the downtown Phoenix community, speechless. She continues to create works that inspire girls and women to be bold, courageous, sweet and sexy…all at the same time. Bloom True, I’m just sure of it, will give KK the safe and adventurous space to learn and open her up to “not having to be perfect and precise” in her art and her life. It will also give her the opportunity to explore vulnerability through art; something she’s shared, with me, that she struggles yet strives to embrace. She’s just a “baby artist” but her work is already impacting and inspiring people. This opportunity, for KK, would help spread more good vibes, positive juju and LOVE; and, as Kammie would say, “who doesn’t want more of that?”

I nominate my dear friend Joy Aloha Davison! We have been friends on the Big Island of Hawaii for over 20 years. Joy is amazing! She always has a smile on her face even when lava is threatening her neighborhood. As long as she can still do her art Joy will be happy! She is one of the most creative people I’ve ever met; easily moving from one media to the next or combining several to create one of her legendary mixed media pieces. Joy carved a beautiful life in a remote jungle with hard work and a strong vision to make the world a better place by doing and teaching others to do art! It would be wonderful for Joy to receive something back that would nurture her hopes and dreams. Joy has an open mind and an open heart – she would definitely make the most of such a beautiful opportunity if she were to be chosen. I can’t think of a more deserving recipient!
Thank you for your time and consideration.

I have watched my bestie Dana rediscover her artist heart in the last few months. After doing an artist retreat weekend in Adelaide, Dana has continued to journey and play and experiment and struggle and get stuck in the how and push through and find amazing glimpses of newness. I am in awe of her courage to leap into the unknown … To have a go … To keep on … Her bravery shines bright. So does the new look that her art is becoming. Her artist heart is evolving. One of my favourite pieces has stories within the layers of colors. I love the storytelling aspect that has evolved in Danas art. Dana would be a most worthy recipient of your gift. She is on a learning journey and would greatly benefit from the inspiration and experience your course would bring.
Thank you for this opportunity and for sharing your gift of art with the world.

Hi Flora,
I would be great if you choose my mother for your course. She has bad times. She loves me and my sisters very much. I think she needs your course to get through the crisis where our family are now. She has a big soul everybody is more important but her. She is secretly crying a lot I know
(She never shows but I know that she is very sad.) We have financial problem I think, and problems with my father too.
She painted lots of beautiful paintings but she need help to develop further to get out of the hole. I see when she creates (sometimes listen nice music) she is calm happy and full of life too. That is how I love to see her.
So please help her and give a chance to your lifechanging course to change her and our life . Thank you (sorry for my bad english) Gedeon

I nominate Lacy Martin-because the discovery of your artistic paradigm has opened up her heart and soul in ways that are impossible to describe. Thruogh this medium this amazing survivor woman is facing her own vulnerability and embracing possiblity in vibrant ways. This gift of process and validation of intuition, self knowledge and healing through your talent and instruction-is somethng that Lacy values more than could be expressed here. Thank you.

I would like to nominate my best friend, Toni Becker. I have known Toni since we were kids (we are now both approaching 40) and she has only recently -in the last 5 years- realized that art and healing are the avenues she is meant to pursue. She is a struggling single mother of two, who recently lost her only brother to a car accident and her beloved step father to a sudden heart attack. Her mother was diagnosed with lung cancer this holiday season and has had to move in with her and her children while undergoing treatment. And now her job (home care for adults with developmental disabilities) is being threatened….her blows just keep on coming. Throughout all this, her spirit has stayed remarkable strong…choosing to believe that worry and stress will only cause more of the same. Her optimism astounds me. And so, as she bravely finds her creative voice through painting these last few years, it would be such a blessing for her to win a place in this *creatively nurturing* class.
Thank you for the opportunity to nominate her!

I would love to nominate my friend Susan Cowan, she is one of the most nurturing people I know. She lives with a three legged cat and an old dog named Ware Dog. 🙂 She loves painting and creating and wears a blue streak in her hair. She’s a pretty cool lady who would love this course.

Hello Flora! I greatly appreciate this chance opportunity to nominate Stacy Cook, my wife who inspires me everyday to think creatively. We are 2 very different people. I am an accountant and she is a creative genius. Over the past 23 years since we began dating in high school, she has always demonstrated her creative approach to life, largely through some form of art. I laugh when I think back to my first reactions of seeing a 5 foot kazoo made from cardboard or what went through my mind when she asked for help reaching the roof of a warehouse with a replica Eiffel Tower made from Spaghetti. Since those early days, she has demonstrated the ability to absorb, train, dabble and dive into so many artistic ideas, methods and genres that everyone she crosses paths with wants to see more. She continually strives to learn more and push her boundaries. Your classes would be a great enhancement to her unique thinking. I have loved watching her grow as an artist and look forward everyday to seeing where her explorations have taken her. Thank you for considering her.

Aloha Flora, I would like to nominate my dear artist and soul sister friend, Noelle Darling. To tell you the background story on why I love her so much, well, we were both Studio Art majors back in college in Santa Cruz. I thank my lucky stars that we just happened to be on a smoke break right outside the art studios at the same time (we were art majors…it was practically mandatory to be a smoker!). We clicked the moment we met. It was as if I had known her for many moons and we just spoke the same language of the heart. We bonded over art-making, over boys, over heartbreak and family pains, our shared love of nature and laughter. Noelle was one of the first people I would talk to if I was in a tough emotional space, and she always had a way of responding in a way to help me see through the dark and to the light beyond….a natural healer. She’s a special woman…a woman who gives before she takes and is so thoughtful of the invisible in herself and others as well: emotions, feelings, healing etc. Fast forward to today, and Noelle is an expressive arts therapist working with low income women in Oakland who are going through tough times in their life where it be recovery from abuse or drugs. I am in awe of how she gives herself to her clients and supports them to heal with visual art and other expressive methods. As I live all the way in China, we only get to connect in the summers when I come to visit and our hangouts are always filled with laughter and stories and deep discussions about art and creativity and healing. I sincerely believe that Noelle would adore your art course on a personal level and would be able to use the wisdom and practice she receives through it to further build on her expressive arts therapy with the women she works so closely with. We’ve talked about your artwork before as I was overly excited to share my knowledge of your course out there. Another coincidental bonus is that Noelle looks you, Flora!!! It’s as if you are cousins or something…there’s something similar about your smiles. 🙂 I think she would be over the moon to be a recipient for this Bloom True art course. She’s an active painter herself and I believe your method of painting would open up new unexplored realms in her creative world. I’m so excited to see what she makes from it all, and how this knowledge will find it’s way into to her healing practice with her clients. Please consider her as one of your recipients, Flora 🙂 Thank you so much! -Aimee

Dear Flora,
I would like to nominate my dear friend Steffi Schramm. We know each other for about 40 years, since we were kids. Steffi had a really difficult live with different downs. On her way through them she found the path of spiritual healing and follows it since. Working as Qigong instructor my friend Steffi lives in the city of Leipzig in Eastern Germany.
She feels attracted to intuitive painting for years. She does it with all her heart, with her totality, with her dedication, injuries, desires, doubts, fears and love. Intuitive painting as an expression of her creativity and is a part of her constitution and the fulfillment of her desire. Painting intuitively she struggles to express her nature in all its diversity. In intuitive painting she seeks the contact with her soul.
Your course would help Steffi to open her mind and soul even more for the flow of painting with its findings and the healing trail that might reveal thereby.
With your support Steffi could train her ability to surrender to the painting. She could deepen the flow, the loving view on all situations and blockages that might show up while painting and the healing of the wounds which let painting and life often seem so difficult.
Your course would mean a lot to her, because she would have in you a competent companion on her journey to the flow of creativity, an encourager to break new ground and gain new insights, and a helper waking lost aspects of her personality by painting. Your course would offer her the space for healing images and insights, for sincere exchanges and rich soul food.
Thank you very much for giving the possibility to nominate a friend for your wonderful course.

I’d like to nominate Jayna Briedenbach. I’ve know Jayna for 18 years. My home is filled with her amazing art work. Other than the astounding talent that resides in this woman, she has this way of conveying depth of Spirit in all she does. Her art work is not “one note”, her range is as complex and as refined as our Spirit is. I would think this would be an ideal opportunity for her continued growth and expression. My great desire for this woman is that she find the path to share her art work with people who would be positively impacted by her work. Having a platform to share with like minded individuals is awesome. Thank you for doing this important work!

I nominate my best friend of 34 years, my wife, JoAnna Jackson. Her heart and her art bring inspiration and joy to the soul. Art is her expression, her smile that she gives to each of us.
She moonlights as a wife, a mother and a mammogram tech, while pursuing her full time focus on art.
To be chosen to participate would truly be an honor and a dose of adrenaline into her busy life.

I nominate my girl friend Kaitlyn Malinowski for give away number 2. She deserves to win more than anyone else without a doubt. Kaitlyn is beyond dedicated to her art and becoming the best artist possible. She has been talking about this class for months, she even asked for it for Christmas but due to the amount of money I wasn’t able to buy it for her. She is an amazing artist but I think this class would put her to a whole new level. Kaity wants nothing more to find her own style of art as she puts it, and I think this class would do that for her. I know if she could afford it she would have bought the class, but were both full time college students and trying to make ends meet. Please pick Kaitlyn Malinowski, she’s tried the other opportunities to win the class and this is her last shot! If you pick her then she will receive the Cristmas gift I wish I could have gotten for her!

I have done the course with you last year and found it sooo good. Its the only way I feel like to painting.
Thanks You
Kathryn

I would like to nominate my sister-in-love Eydie Teplitsky Kugler. She deals with her fibromyalgia graciously, as well as her teenage daughter’s very serious nut allergy. She is also involved in her community volunteering as well as hosting creative workshops for women. I think she deserves this inspiring e-course to nourish herself since she’s often so busy taking care of others!!! She so adores your way of doing artwork and I think it will positively influence her own and her workshops!

Oh I would definitely want to nominate a sweet creative friend called Renje. She has been such an inspiration to me and gave me the courage to try mixed media and painting while I had never done anything like it before! She really helped me to be loose and have fun. She herself is already absolutely talented in so many ways, but I know for sure she would love to join in and be able to bloom true!

I would like to nominate my beautiful sister Lacey Call to win this giveaway. This course would be a beautiful opportunity to help her art grow and expand. She is in a very vulnerable stage of life where creative freedom and flow would be great guides to her. I love her for so many reasons….. for being empathetic, honest, and loyal til the end.

I’d like to nominate my friend Max because he is stuck for the moment in life (private and pro). He likes to create and paint but don’t go until the end of stuff… He stops because he judges himself so badly.
Taking this course can help him to move away and makes him understand there are not right or wrong ways… the only thing that realy is, is to DO. ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
More… he has pain in his back (Drs recomend him pool, bike and yoga, so it would be perfect hahaha)
(And he realy loves the videos of Flora but as he said, can not afford them… a wonderful gift for starting 2015!)
Thanks 🙂

I nominate my friend, Ella. I had known her as an artist since high school and enjoyed her art so much. After graduating college, she devoted herself to missionary work and I never saw an artwork from her since then (we’re now on our thirties). She often talks about how she misses painting & drawing and shows me pictures of artwork styles that she aspires to make. I know this course can be a gentle push for her to reconnect with the artist within her.

I would like to nominate my niece, Chelsea. I have followed and admired you for many moons now Miss Flora and even had the privilege of participating in bloom true myself once and know first hand what a moving experience it is. Chelsea is an amazing soul, with talents that overflow and a heart of gold. She graduated college a few years ago and is having a hard time finding herself and battling some emotional demons, that she could use some help taming. I think your course would really provide Chelsea with some valuable tools to aid in her journey. Chelsea would benefit greatly and be a wonderful participant in your tribe, she is very intuitive and loves to commerce and share with like minded individuals. She lives in a very small town and does not have a lot of people to share and open up with, this would give her a doorway to bond with others who share her passion. Please consider her for giveaway, it is just the thing she needs.

I would like to nominate my friend from childhood, Melanie Goldstein. We have been best friends for over 30 years now (since 7th grade) and have seen each other through a lot. Melanie is in a very difficult family situation that has been going on for many years. She struggles with trying to make the right choices for herself versus the needs of her child, husband and others. I would love see her regain her former self-confidence and find the courage to make bold, life-affirming changes in her world. One thing that has supported her the most over the last several years has been getting back into painting. She works more than full time as the primary breadwinner in her family, and does the lion’s share of care for her child, so she rarely prioritizes herself or her art, but I can see how much of her it brings back when she does. She has taken some short workshops in the past, and I would love to see her do an e-course that would help her bring her art into her everyday world. It would be such an incredible gift to her.

I’d like to nominate my friend, Jan. She would benefit as much from the support & camaraderie of being in a Bloom True FB TRIBE group as from the e-course. Jan had a debilitating illness the last few years which kept her bedridden and isolated from other artists. Instead of continuing her momentum as a professional working artist, crafter and art instructor, the illness robbed Jan of her ability to work, make, sell and teach art. She also lost many connections to friends and colleagues.
Now, with a new doctor and successful, integrative medical treatments, she has finally been able to get back to the life she lost. Actually, she says, NOT to her old life. After her experience of being stopped in her body, stuck in her apartment and life, she realized her old way of making art no longer fits her. That approach was too stiff, stilted and laboured. She longs for the dancing joy, intuitive spontaneity and freedom of expression she saw in Flora’s video. She passionately longs to connect with other artists along the same path. The opportunity of this e-course and Tribe would come at a perfect time. Ultimately, she wants to someday be able to use the insights she gained from that dark time in her life, to teach and inspire what her journey has taught her about life and making art.

I am nominating my dear friend Anita Batricevic, because she is brave and intuitive enough to put her deepest feelings on canvas. As a yoga teacher, Anita can express her meditative insights through colors and shapes and her paintings easily put me in that meditative state too. She is very optimistic and creative person. It always cheers me up when I see her new creations, new little worlds she shapes with brushes. I know that she is opened to learn more and that this course would make her jump to the skies. She once told me that she could let go of everything, but never her painting, because it keeps her connected to her own and higher Self. If you choose Anita, I secretly hope to have her new painting on my wall 🙂

I want to nominate my very, very talented daughter, Corina St Martin. She has been an artist for many years however, she just hasn’t made her footprint as she wants and needs. She paints everyday. It is her love and passion. Our conversations are always about art and how she can acheive her best self and help animals. She has the talent and drive but I feel she would definitely benefit from your course. She feels she is missing something and I want her to have the best chance to finally “arrive” at a place where she feels she is on the right track. Your course can give her different techniques to apply and achive her goals. Thanks so much!!!

Hi Flora. I would like to nominate my close friend and colleague, Aimee Zvinakis, for one of your give away spots in the Bloom True painting course. Aimee and I met last year when we moved to Beijing, China, to teach at a school here.
She is the middle school art teacher at the school and always seems to find a way to make every art project engage the creative minds of the students. I’m always eager to walk down the hall by her classroom to see what new work her students have put on display. Aimee is an incredible art teacher because of how her students feel empowered and excited about art, and how each project invites the kids to make connections between themselves and the rest of the world. They all seem to come out of each project surprised at themselves from their risk taking. I’ve seen it in her kids! But I want Aimee to feel in herself what she is able to make her students feel.
Aimee transfers her art inspiration into her classroom teaching all the time so I know she would take the techniques learned in your e-course and practice these with her students. We all know middle school students would benefit immensely from intuitive painting.
The main reason I think Aimee deserves this course is not because of her being a teacher, as this is actually secondary. She needs to take this course because of the artist she dreams of being deep in her heart. We’ve had many long talks discussing intentions, personal and spiritual goals and how we envision our future life to be. Aimee has shared with me a desire to live a more personally creative and rich artistic life and how she wants to manifest this as her primary career. She enjoys teaching, but wants to nourish the artist inside of her more so.
Aimee has admitted to feeling a deep fear about making big changes to her career, changes to the stable life she has set up for herself thus far. For the past six months, Aimee has started doing art for herself and I can see how it brings joy and meaning to her life, which means she is on the right track! I want to be a cheerleader for her and encourage her to face her fears: those critical voices that freeze us into not acting on what our heart truly wants and needs.
This Bloom True course may be just the thing to propel Aimee into the unknown creative abyss that will throw her out onto the other side feeling more confident and brave towards manifesting her artistic goals. She really needs this in her life right now. Beijing in the winter is a cold and gloomy place. I would love to see her painting in her apartment on the high pollution days, adding vibrant color on canvas against the grey skyline, manifesting her desires. Please give her a chance for one of your spots in this course. Thank you for your generosity in reading all these posts and giving away this amazing opportunity to some lucky and gracious people out there.

I would like to nominate my spiffing wife, Helen Lehndorf, for the painting course. She is very comfortable with all this ‘new media’ palaver, and an e-course could spur on her love of painting.

I’d like to nominate my niece, Adaline Chalfin. She’s a budding young talent but has trouble being perfectionist. I don’t want her to stifle her own creativity like I did for years. I’d like to see her bloom true from the very beginning! Please pick her!

I’d like to nominate my wonderful daughter, Gennifer Carragher, for giveaway number 2. Gennifer has been an amazing artist since she was very young. One day when she was about four, I was distracted with completing a work project and I thought she was playing quietly in the other room. In reality, she had opened her fingerprints and covered herself from head to toe in paint. She had swirled the colors around so beautifully that she was truly a work of art. Since then, she’s created amazing works of art including photos of many areas of the United States, incredible paintings of all types, and beautiful dream catchers and hangings made from natural materials like feathers, shells and rocks. Gennifer is very devoted to her art. Unlike many people, she seems to see the world through a different lens. She seems to see the art in every moment that occurs. Gennifer would love to take the class and I believe she would benefit from it as well. Please consider her for your generous gift of the class.

Hi there! I hope it’s not too late to nominate someone. I’ve been thinking about it for days and it just hit me before laying down to sleep who. I nominate my new friend, Jennifer Danner. Jen lost her mom on New Year’s Day after a long battle. Jen works at our local art center and is such a sweet, generous, fun, deep, loving soul. She taught the fairy house class my kids took one summer. I don’t even know if she knows who you are, but I know she would LOVE your art and attitude! She has showed strength through the loss of her mom to be their for her dad and friends. It would be wonderful to see her have a surprise like this. 🙂 Thanks for the opportunity to nominate her.

I don’t know if its too late to nominate a person for your give away, but if there’s still time I would like to nominate Amanda Modler — I don’t really know her as we just met, but I know she really wants to paint with Floria and she can’t really afford to right now. I think it would be a wonderful opportunity for her, and who knows, it may even change her life for the better. 🙂
Thanks~

Hi, Flora, I would like to ask you to choose my wife. I was not good to her last year and I would like to propitiate or rather surprise her that I still take care of her. I saw in her computer that she is looking your site very often and watching your video (we don’t have spares money to enroll). She is very talented and I never told her any good word about her art during 22 years since we are together although she had some local exhibitions too. She is not happy I think but not shows in front of our children (we have 3 children (9,10,14) they are very talented which definitely comes from they mother). She has lots of paints, and big empty canvases she bought years ago but never had enough courage paint in big. Maybe your course changing our life. If it is not too late to nominated her please consider to choose her. Thank you very much. Ata from Hungary

I would love to nominate my long time friend, Stacy Nimmo. She is truly a beautiful, creative person deep in her soul. Stacy has raised 5 children through some very rough times, including a divorce. I think she deserves some good beautiful art classes in her life because she has persevered through many trials, yet emerges always with a thankful heart.

Dear Flora;
I would love to be able to take your online painting course. I just ordered your book and can’t afford to take the course right now. I have been painting for 2 years now after what I call an “art explosion” in my life. I found you online searching for intuitive artists and was so inspired. It is important for me to paint from the heart, and my best art has been from the heart. Please consider me for this opportunity to take your course. Patricia
