In all honesty, I tend to be more of a rule breaker than a rule maker, but there’s one important guideline I always try to stick to when I paint:
Allow the change.
Letting changes happen when we paint requires us to release preconceived ideas about where we think our paintings are supposed to go, while opening up to the unexpected twists and turns of a truly intuitive creative process.
Creating in this way not only roots us in the present moment, but also strengthens our ability to navigate the vast changes that inevitably present themselves in life off the canvas.
In other words, the more we practice allowing the change on the canvas, the more comfortable we become allowing the change in life.
This definitely applies to business too!
