ENJOY A PERSONAL RETREAT

AT FLORA’S PORTLAND LIVE-WORK STUDIO

TEND ~ HONOR ~ ALLOW ~ TRUST

These are the words that will greet you above the door when you enter this creative oasis.

In 2016, I built the studio of my dreams nestled among tall trees and blossoming gardens in a quiet artistic neighborhood in NE Portland, OR.

This modern light-filled studio is where I hosted many wonderful painting retreats until it became my own live-work space in 2020.

I poured my heart into creating the most comfortable, creative, and inspiring space I could imagine, and I absolutely loved living there….until, somewhat to my surprise, a new dream called me to move out of the city.

This is where YOU come in.

STUDIO RENTALS NOW AVAILABLE

For the first time ever, this very special, one-of-a-kind studio home which was featured in In Her Studio magazine is available to rent!

This space was designed and built from the ground up to be a creative incubator.

My dream is to see the studio used for personal creative retreats.

Whether you have a writing project to dive into, a series of paintings to complete, or you just need some spacious quiet time to dream and reset, this space will inspire, nourish, and delight.

The studio has three queen beds and one full bath and is perfect for 1-3 people. There is also a two-bed, two-bath Airbnb on the property if you want to host a larger group.

Please check in if you plan to host any gatherings or small retreats in the space.

WORDS FROM A GUEST

Life happened in such a way in the last couple of months that my soul was calling for an artist’s retreat, somewhere to go to feel my insides and let my surroundings envelop me in safety, beauty, and quiet. That calling led me to Flora and her art studio.

The space is nestled in the backyard of Flora’s Airbnb in NE Portland, a lively, yet quiet, walkable neighborhood close to grocery stores, restaurants, bars, cultural events, coffee shops, and literally anything else you might be curious about. It also happens to be a short 15-minute drive from exquisite urban hikes with vast, rich nature.

The radiant-heated concrete floors are splashed with paint from all of the artists’ canvases who have experienced Flora’s workshops. They are surrounded by crisp white walls except for one corner which is Flora’s painting space, where she’s left a rack of paints, brushes, and canvases for your personal deep dive. You can feel the potency of the creative energy that has lived and breathed in that space.

In terms of comfort, you’ll want for nothing – a cozy back bedroom with soft sheets and weighted blankets and a TV to snuggle up to; a perfectly appointed kitchen; lounging areas; a piano; a loft with another sleeping space, or a place to roll out a yoga mat or lounge with a book from Flora’s inspiring collection; skylights to listen to the rain; a private sauna and cold plunge tub tucked in the corner of the expansive outdoor space filled with custom-made metal art; and a deep, long, inside soaking tub to chase away the winter blues. And last but certainly not least, every wall is adorned with Flora’s original art.

In a word, it’s perfect, and exactly what every soul needs. Go. And stay as long as you can.
