I bought one for myself and one for a friend during lockdown.
The reason was for reassurance and grounding in these difficult times.
A healing book
This is a great book written with animist viewpoint of being part of a world of other beings who share similar experiences, like fear and sadness.
I read the book to a client and she said she felt more nourished and whole afterward. If you are new to an animist perspective, it may be an adjustment, but if you open yourself to the support of the natural world, you may feel less alone. A gift during these times.
