FRESH PAINT

Discover and Develop A Unique Creative Style

JANUARY 1ST – JULY 1ST, 2020

ARE YOU READY TO CONNECT MORE DEEPLY TO YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS AND ROCK A STYLE THAT IS ALL YOUR OWN?

After hosting the first incredible round of Fresh Paint in 2019, we are so excited to offer this powerful online course for the second time beginning on January 1st, 2020.

When workshop collaborator, style queen, and fellow artist, Lynzee Lynx, and I decided to team up to teach an online course about finding a unique creative style, we honestly weren’t sure this was something that could be “taught.” But after years of witnessing our students struggling to find their own voice through the Brave Intuitive Painting process, we knew we wanted to try!

In response to this hot topic and fueled by our passion for authenticity, we put our heads and hearts together to create a radically new and potent curriculum for creative seekers looking to find more integrity, depth, and originality in their work.

After one round, we are absolutely thrilled beyond our wildest dreams to see how this course has been received, integrated, and put into practice. It really worked!

If you, too, are craving more of YOU in your creative expression, we would love to have you join us for the second round of Fresh Paint beginning on January 1st, 2020.

We believe finding our creative voice translates into a more courageous, inspired, and world-changing way of living. We also believe this is a vital time for each of us to offer our unique stories and visions with the world.

In this course, we use mixed-media art, movement, meditation, and writing to explore personal experience, individual preference, ancestry, intuition, and body wisdom.

Through the process of creating 100 small mixed-media paintings based on these inquiries, your style will reveal itself to you!

As lifelong makers, we know creating art that is unmistakably your own is both satisfying and integral, but we also recognize that finding your own style takes attention, patience, resourcefulness, and time.

Ultimately, the artwork needs to come from a true and personal place and it turns out authenticity and unique-ness go hand and hand.

If you’re ready to infuse more meaning, personal story, and satisfaction into your work, while truly setting yourself apart from the rest and avoiding the common pitfall of making work that looks and feels derivative of other artists, this course is for you.

It’s with great pleasure that we offer you Fresh Paint, an inspiring adventure all about discovering and developing a unique creative style.

WELCOME!

WHY WE MADE THIS COURSE

  • We believe art changes lives and culture, and this is an opportunity for you to contribute to your life and the world by courageously expanding your way of expressing and making.
  • We’ve noticed how common it is for people to make work that is derivative of other artist’s work, and we want you to feel 100 percent certain that what you’re creating is authentic.
  • We sense a collective “readiness” from our students to create work that is more authentic, personal, and unique. We’re ready too.
  • We know making authentic and meaningful art is ultimately more satisfying and fun!
  • We believe creativity can serve as a personal practice and form of devotion while serving as an antidote to many of today’s challenges.

YOUR GUIDES

Flora Bowley and Lynzee Lynx have been painting collaboratively and co-teaching workshops and retreats for the past eight years. They share a deep mutual love for authentic expression, both in their artwork and in their lives.

Lynx is a mama of two and enjoys creating in many mediums, including paint, beads, metal, and fabric. She’s passionate about ecological preservation, personal style, embodiment, cultural art practices, and mindful consumption. Flora is a painter, creative pioneer, and author of two books, Brave Intuitive Painting and Creative Revolution.  Her soulful approach to the creative process has inspired a new holistic movement in the intuitive art world.

Flora and Lynx’s combined styles and lifelong dedication to art, truth, service, laughter, and healing create a dynamic and joy-filled space to explore the deeper conversations of authentic living and personal style.

“This workshop was a treasure trove of new ideas, insights, and useful tools to break up that “stuck” feeling when staring at a blank canvas. Flora and Lynx guided our discovery through multiple hands-on activities that inspired and challenged (in a good way!) our practice. I’ve come away from this workshop feeling excited, motivated and more confident to paint fearless.”

“I loved this course. When I started, I was trying to paint more like Flora — more like what I see other people doing, with the colors that other people are using. This process taught me that it’s ok that I like more simple, clean visuals, and that I don’t need to fill the whole page. This is me, and I’ve come to embrace that!”
