FRESH PAINT

Discover and Develop A Unique Creative Style

ARE YOU READY TO CONNECT MORE DEEPLY TO YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS AND ROCK A STYLE THAT IS ALL YOUR OWN?

This course is for you!

We believe finding our creative voice translates into a more courageous, inspired, and world-changing way of living. We also believe this is a vital time for each of us to offer our unique stories and visions with the world.

After years of witnessing our students struggling to find their own voice through the Brave Intuitive Painting process, my workshop collaborator, style queen, and fellow artist, Lynzee Lynx, and I decided to team up to teach an online course about finding a unique creative style.

Fueled by our passion for authentic expression, we put our heads and hearts together to create a radically new and potent curriculum for creatives looking to find more integrity, depth, and originality in their work.

We offered this course for the first time in 2019, and we were absolutely thrilled beyond our wildest dreams to see how this course has been received, integrated, and put into practice. The feedback we’ve received has been truly amazing. Now, we are happy to announce that we are offering lifetime access to Fresh Paint!

We would love to have you join us.

xo Flora + Lynx

Fresh Paint is an immersion into paint and art that unleashes your inner creator in a wild, playful and joyous ride! Nothing fearful, pretentious or precious in this course. Just fun, creativity and experimentation leading to lovely results!

– Julia B.

In this course, we use mixed-media art, movement, meditation, and writing to explore personal experience, individual preference, ancestry, intuition, and body wisdom.

Through the process of creating 100 small mixed-media paintings based on these inquiries, your style will reveal itself to you!

As lifelong makers, we know creating art that is unmistakably your own is both satisfying and integral, but we also recognize that finding your own style takes attention, patience, resourcefulness, and time.

Ultimately, the artwork needs to come from a true and personal place and it turns out authenticity and unique-ness go hand and hand.

If you’re ready to infuse more meaning, personal story, and satisfaction into your work, while truly setting yourself apart from the rest and avoiding the common pitfall of making work that looks and feels derivative of other artists, this course is for you.

It’s with great pleasure that we offer you Fresh Paint, an inspiring adventure all about discovering and developing a unique creative style. WELCOME.

Total magic! Fresh Paint gave me the freedom to explore EVERYTHING! The best gift I could ever have given myself.

– Ginny L.

WHY WE MADE THIS COURSE

  • We believe art changes lives and culture, and this is an opportunity for you to contribute to your life and the world by courageously expanding your way of expressing and making.
  • We’ve noticed how common it is for people to make work that is derivative of other artist’s work, and we want you to feel 100 percent certain that what you’re creating is authentic.
  • We sense a collective “readiness” from our students to create work that is more authentic, personal, and unique. We’re ready too.
  • We know making authentic and meaningful art is ultimately more satisfying and fun!
  • We believe creativity can serve as a personal practice and form of devotion while serving as an antidote to many of today’s challenges.
  • We are passionate about this topic and personally dedicated to pushing our own boundaries as we continue to evolve as artists. We want to share our passion with you!

Fresh Paint was quite a breakthrough actually. Through persistence, I was able to let go of outcome expectations, let go of imposter feelings, and take away new insights from each series. It’s like unraveling all the layers that have built up over the years and freeing the artist within whose been there all along.

“I loved this course. When I started, I was trying to paint more like Flora — more like what I see other people doing, with the colors that other people are using. This process taught me that it’s ok that I like more simple, clean visuals, and that I don’t need to fill the whole page. This is me, and I’ve come to embrace that!”

For the first time since I was a child, I gave myself permission to play without any expectations or judgments.  I actually put those art supplies to use! Doing the exercises helped me to open my artist mind. One of the few online art courses that was actually worth the money.  It was both fun and incredibly useful.

Student Gallery

This course is gentle and diverse. You learn how to paint intuitively, allowing yourself to play and experiment, allowing yourself to make ‘mistakes,’ to let go of trying to control the outcome. You also learn a variety of approaches and techniques to help you start a piece, progress within a piece, as well as finish. This is a fun, free, stress-free way to explore painting/art-making and simply produce in order to learn about yourself, what you like, and what emerges naturally.
